My first goal in counseling is to build rapport and trust with clients.  I am a non-judgemental listener and feel honored that clients have felt safe sharing their stories and struggles with me for 20 years.  I help clients in their decision making process, use evidence based therapies, and teach clients tools to help them throughout life.  
 
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Washington and Hawaii.  I offer video telehealth sessions to Washington & Hawaii clients and can meet with Maui clients in person .  I help clients work through a wide array of challenges in their life and am an anxiety specialist for adolescents and adults.  Within this specialty  I help clients overcome various anxiety disorders, OCD, perinatal anxiety, skin and hair pulling, tinnitus anxiety, and every day stress and anxiety using CBT, ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention) and Mindfulness.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is known to be one of the most effective approaches to use with clients suffering from low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety disorder. It is based on the theory that the way in which we think about life's events generate our moods rather than the events themselves.   When incorporating mindfulness into sessions, we focus on the present, let go of the past, and learn not to dwell on the uncontrollable future.  For those suffering from OCD, I use (ERP) exposure and response prevention therapy.
